Michael J. Chock

Education

Michael Chock has over 13 years experience working in people orientated fields, a degree in robotics and a love for nature, he has a loving wife, adorable son and another little one coming soon. Mike attended Pillager high through 5th grade where he was part of the accelerated learning program and completed his high school diploma through Pillager while attending home-school; he was active in debate and track and won awards in both. Mike took post secondary option at CLC- Staples, completing the robotics course where he earned a place on the dean’s list and set himself apart in class by displaying an in-depth understanding of electronic circuits and PLCs as well as a natural troubleshooting ability.

 

Employment

Mike began working as a hand on local farms, part-time at Dairy Queen as well as the occasional drywall job with his Dads business. Throughout high school a he also volunteered his summers for 7 years at a local nonprofit summer camp that targeted needy and at risk kids. When Mike graduated college he obtained a job as a robotics tech at now out of business Imation where he repaired automated assembly lines operating at 92 parts per minute, after he was laid off he worked numerous low level factory jobs all the while still on the lookout for a robotics job in MN and eventually, due to the lack of technical work, became head of maintenance at Solid Rock Summer Camp and when they went under became the head of housekeeping at the year round Camp Shamineau until they outsourced the department and since then he has been working as a manager in fast food . Mike has recently (in the last year) joined ENE first as a marketing coordinator but more recently has been promoted to Co-Producer and web designer.

 

Hobbies

Mike loves tinkering and has been disassembling and re-appropriating electrical equipment since he was old enough to reach the tool drawer, he paints using many mediums as well as charcoal, pencil, ink and pastels, he loves to read the classics and the currents, he is an adept gamer and loves a good challenge, he likes to rock climb, bike, rollerblade, play just about any sport, water ski, wakeboard and downhill ski, he prides himself in being able to climb almost any tree in the wild and in his younger years built many tree forts. Recently Mike has taken on the task of learning as many software suits as possible in order to increase his designing capabilities including Microsoft office, Adobe CS4, Pascal, Auto Cad, Anime Pro and many more. Mike also enjoys his days off with his son and wife.
